So my subtle hints didn’t get my point across, but cutting a hole in the ceiling and putting the chandelier directly underneath said hole did got my point across. Said husband came home and Finally. Noticed. The. Chandelier.
Hallelujah!!!
Said Husband finally started to install said chandelier.
And The Brooke was happy.
Said husband brought out the 4 foot drill bit and started drilling. He drilled a hole from the dining room floor down to the basement. Also, we (myself included) were able to run the electric from the hole I cut in the dining room ceiling over to the wall where we (well, really I, myself ) wanted the light switch.
Now, the fun begins. The electric was hooked up to the chandelier. We found a ceiling medallion to cover up the ginormous hole I cut into the ceiling. Then we wired the chandelier to the electric box that was installed in the ceiling.
Once secured, the lamp shades where placed on each bulb. I caulked around the medallion, and I’m ready to paint.
And this is where I’m at now. What a difference. Even said husband is happy.
This turned into a win-win!! Looks great, and no more tripping over a chandelier on the floor!! All I need to do is paint the medallion, and the ceiling.
Thank you, husband!!
Now I need to decide what color to paint the ceiling. Can you help me decide?

Hi Brooke,
I love the medallion. We have one that’s been sitting on the floor for months waiting to go up over the dining room table. Can’t wait to show Margie.
All the best,
