In Brooke’s Garden House, Episode 9, we accomplished a lot, like completing the brick floor, and drying in the back of the house. Take a look!

This past week was hard core here at Brooke’s Garden House. We worked well after dusk, ever mindful of a looming, yet hopeful deadline, brining us into Episode 9.

The fact that we just want the build done so we can enjoy every square inch of the garden house is certainly true. Still, this build is no different than any other, whether big or small; little issues pop up where time wasn’t allotted, requiring a re-org.

Nature of the beast, I tell myself.

The most amazing news with all of this – The reveal is next Monday!!

FOR REAL!!

But for now, let’s talk about all that we accomplished this past week, to make next week really happen. Let’s dive into Episode 9 of Brooke’s Garden House.

For starters, I got the brick floor down, and I wrote all about that here.. I’ve gone up to the garden house a few times since, just to look at the floor. Weird? Perhaps. But I’m still diggin’ it.

RTB was MIA for about 9 days, but when he did come around, he cranked it out. And he did it well. He was able to dry in the back of the house. Although we ran out of the old siding, he fit in what he could, then hung plywood to tide us over until we can apply the siding over. A quick fix for now, and completely satisfactory until we can get more.

He moved the columns out. Their old placement was driving me cray cray. Between RTB and Sean, they came up with a solution to move them without deconstructing the entire entry way build. Though I only wanted them moved slightly, 5 inches proved to be right on. And, he also widened the space between both by a couple inches. Goes to prove that a little bit deems perfect.

Take a look for yourself, and see everything we completed this past week in Episode 9 of Brooke’s Garden House. At the end of the episode, I’m sharing a little teaser for next week. Tell me what you think!

So this week, we have our work cut out for us, and luckily, it’s all about making it pretty. The hard labor is completed (thank my lucky stars), so we’ll be finishing up the painting, taking a razor to all of the over-paint on the windows, removing the mound of dirt at the back of the house, and then it’s all about putting everything in place inside.

That’s the best part. My favorite.

So stay tuned and keep watching. The best of the best is yet to come!
