I have a great organizing quick tip for you that will help keep your refrigerator organized and everything in its place, and in clear view. Here is the best refrigerator organizing tip!
Our refrigerator is the one place where I always struggled to keep organized. It’s always a mess, we can never find what we’re looking for, and if there isn’t a space, then one’s created somehow.
Is Your Fridge Like This?
Maybe it’s because we have waaaaaay too many condiments?
Maybe it’s because there’s four of us in and out of it all day long?
Or maybe it’s because I might be the only one that cares what the inside looks like?
Whatever the case, it’s always been a constant struggle for me until my organizing light bulb went on in my head.
In this organizing challenge, it’s the smaller, shorter jars of things that get lost and pushed to the back so another jar will then get opened. I needed a solution where these jars could be displayed, where they would always be visible, and hopefully put back in its place.
And then there’s the tall things like salad dressings and other condiments that get shoved and pushed around and then eventually get knocked over. They required a solution too.
I needed the Obi Whan Kenobi kind of organizing tool; hardworking, won’t let me down, the answer to my problem.
Lazy Susan Is My Organizer.
Of course a Lazy Susan! That makes perfect sense. Good ole LS organizes my vitamins, and she even organizes cleaners under the kitchen sink. I’m even going to go out and ask the question why something would be called lazy when it’s really hard working.
Refrigerator Organizing Tips
Here’s how I got started in organizing my refrigerator.
First, I recommend taking everything out and cleaning the shelves and the sides well with a good cleaner.
Next, if you have duplicates or triplicates (we ended up having 4 jars of pickles opened), combine into one container, if you can.
For our fridge, I needed up getting these two Lazy Susan’s and this expandable shelf organizer. If your family is like ours, then I would recommend you do the same. Since shelves are set up this way, it worked best for both LS’s to be on the top shelf along with the expandable organizer.
On one, I put Bar-B-Que sauces and the like, and the other with salad dressings, etc. The expandable shelf organizer came into play for the smaller, shorter jars that always get lost, shoved to the back.
Let me tell you, by following this organizing tip, it opened up the rest of the fridge for things like leftovers and the seasonal must-have egg nog. So far, everything has been put back in its place, and the amount of time the refrigerator door is opened has been cut down quite a bit.
There’s no ketchup laying on top of something else. All of the dupes were combined into one container, making room for more space. And now, all it takes is the twirl of my girl, LS, to look for and grab what is needed.
I seriously don’t know what took me so long to use this valuable organizing tip for my fridge. Buy hey, I’m glad the light bulb finally did turn on to solve the fridge disorganized debacle.
LS and Expandable are like super heroes in my book.

I have always thought Susan got mislabeled. It is we who are lazy, not her!!

I have always understood that Susan is referring to the maid. No need for someone to pass dishes around the table – less work for her!
